Ive had this problem with another make of car before, the immobiliser was stuck on stopping the car from starting, reset the immobiliser by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes and reconnecting it. good luck.

02 explorer crank sensor went bad replaced it but will not start. cleared code but never disconnected the battery. will that make a difference

if you car was working good before, and now did not start . the way you can check the crankshaft sensor is by scanner with data readings, if you turn over the engine is going to show rpm's at the scanner, that means the crankshaft sensor is working ok.if doesn't show rpm's the sensor or the connector is defective when this sensor is defective, they cut the spark and the signal to the injectors, another tips; ecm relay, fuel pump relay, spark plugs, maf sensor, inertia switch (defective key do the same with the theft light fashing and no turn over the engine) i hope this help you.

Theft system

Hello

To solve this on your fuse box you will see the theft icon. You probaly need to take the fuse out. Wait for a minute (you cloud try to start there will be no power going to the theft control board) then place it back then. If that doesn't work then your Theft system board might have problem. You might need to contact a mechanic.

Hope this helped

Security light blinks car won't start disconnected the battery used a different key still won't start

need to reprogram the security system. turn the key to start position then to run . let the key stay on until the light stops flashing. repeat these steps 3 times then the car should start if there is not a problem with the pass-lock sensor in the ignition switch or the BCM( body control module).

My BMW E30 1992 does not want to start. It sounds as if the anti theft code does bot want to disarm once one has put in the right code. So disconnected battery and waited fro 24hours reconnect battery...

Here is information on disarming the alarm! First you need to know if it is a factor or after market system! Here is how you tell if the headlights are flashing, the alarm system is factory installed. Inserting the key into the driver door lock and turning to the left then back to the right is supposed to disarm it. If the parking lights are blinking,, the alarm is an aftermarket add on, and there should be a disarm button under the dash on the driver side. If it' an aftermarket alarm, you should be able to have it removed. There is a way to bypass the factory alarm. There is a wiring harness in the driver's door. You will have to remove the door panel to find it. The wire is dark green and purple. Splice into that wire and ground it to the chassis and the alarm should no longer work

2002 Nissan Sentra is not starting suddenly, it has SES light on and I got my battery replace two days back

check the crank or cam position sensor,is the vehicle equip with NAPS nissan ani teft system if so it may have been trigered when chnaging battery and may have gto go into the dealer for assistance because the system shots down the engine's ecm and you need a scaner to reset it.

2002 2500HD GMC - starts for 2 seconds and engine shuts down

It might be the anti-teft system. I am told, what you need to do is turn the key to ON without starting the truck. Leave it that way for 20 minutes. Then turn it off.

After you do that, try to start it.

Need to disconnect anti teft device. where is it located?

if you activate the anti theft on the jeep because of no remote, you have to lock and unlock the passenger side door twice to disarm it.
it is not easy to bypass the anti theft module.a place that installs alarms would be the best bet.get an after market alarm put in for about the cost of a couple remotes.or if you buy a used remote,it can be re programmed using the obd2 diagnostic unit.
