Determine if it trans fluid(red) or engine oil. If the trans pan gasket is leaking, drain it (By slowly remove the pan) and replace it. Don't use the rubber gasket. Use cork or silicone. If oil, coming between the engine and trans. This would be a rear main seal on the engine. Trans has to be pulled to replace it.

How do i check oil level in gearbox of suzuki swift 2009

Gearbox oil can't be checked because it is sealed and needs to be drained out and checked for metal parts if there is damage to the gears. Take your vehicle to an authorised service centre if you suspect it is the gear box. Humming noise may be something else- like less engine oil or a defective AC intake (blocked tray) or some loose vibration.

2009 focus gearbox oil level plug

Depends on whether you have manual or automatic transmission. Here is a link to a pdf of your owners manual. See page 223 and pages 247 on for your question. Basically, if it's automatic, you have a dipstick, the location is shown. If manual it is a fairly large bolt on the side of the gearbox, you take it out and stick your finger in. It should be even with the bottom of the filler hole. These don't use fluid, but have service intervals to change it. See manual. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/catalog/owner_guides/09focog2e.pdf

Drain your system fluid. Remove your gearbox oil pan. Clean or replace gearbox oil filter. Refill with oil and retry.
If problem persists, then replace/recondition automatic gearbox

How to change automatic transmission filter of 2001 Golf

You need to remove the sump pan off the gearbox but what looks like a drain plug on the sump is actually a gearbox filler level tube. You may also find a drain plug on the torque converter. Remove the sump pan and you will find the filter screwed to the bottom of the valve body The problem you will face is filling the gearbox oil to achieve the correct level a computer is needed to measure gearbox oil temperature. With the gearbox oil at 30 centigrade you need one drip out of the filler level every 10 seconds.
