Question about 2001 BMW Z3
I replaced the battery in my 1999 Z3 and now the radio will not accept the radio code. I couldn't find the code and the one I am using was provided by my dealer. The dealer's only fix is to remove the radio, send it out for repair and charge me $400.
Call the manufacturer of the stereo (most BMW have Alpine). You may need to remove the faceplate to get the model and serial#'s and will also need your VIN # to confirm the stereo is still with the car. Explain your situation and they should provide you with a code to reset your stereo. Best of luck.
