It's not the fuse if the other side is working. You need to check socket and power going to socket. Make sure ground to socket is good.

I suspect there is a ground problem. Look for wires that run to the chassis near the tail light.

It can be faulty brake light switch causing the problem or its blown brake light bulb.First check and confirm brake light lamp is working and that's not the case.

No brake lights, or turn signal lights in the back

Because most the time signals and break lights are on same circuit , most likely it is a fuse that blew. Check fuse panel, and it should be marked brake light or fuse, and pull out fuse, replace with same amp. Let me know if this solved problem. Thanks mike from fixya

Neither brake light will come on when I get on brake.Changed the fuse and bulbs already. keyless device only work sometimes. Put new CR2016 batteries in. Please help!!!

suspect a bad brake light switch,on the brake pedal itself.the key need not be on when checking the brake light switch.but requires 2 people.one to insure the brake lights come on,one to push the brake. theres a switch on the brake pedal itself. look above the brake pedal pad that you push to apply the brakes. you will see a plunger that moves in and out, just to supply the current to the brakelights.if the plungers out of sync,it will not work. or it may only be stuck.or simply bad,if it moves and brake lights do not work. if the plunger works on visual inspection, and is plugged up,the switch is suspect to be bad. thank you,for choosing fixya.com!! SIMPLE SOLUTION,CHECK THE BRAKE LIGHT FUSE. IT MAY ONLY BE BLOWN. UNDER THE DASH ON DRIVERS SIDE CLOSEST TO YOUR LEFT FOOT WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. WITH FLASHLIGHT,CHECK FOR BLOWN BRAKE LIGHT FUSE. if this fails, check for blown brakelight bulbs. unlikely that both brake light bulbs blown at once! but not unusall. thank you for choosing fixya.com!!

If the other brake light is working then the bulb in the uniluminated side has failed. If both brake lights go out then I would suspect a blown fuse,

Driver side brake light won't work. Bulbs are new. 2003 Grand Caravan

Pull down the fuse/relay panel under the driver side dash. You will see a fuse for each side of the van> Right brake light and left brake light. Check the fuses for a blown fuse controlling the drivers side and replace it with the same size fuse. Hope this will help you.

Toyo dyna 92 break lights not working , is there a fuse for this or is it hard wired bulbs ,work fine , ?

There is a fuse for the brake lights. Check fuse and replace if blown. If the fuse is not blown, check the bulbs themselves. If the bulbs are good, then the next step is to replace the brake light switch located under steering column attached to brake pedal rod.
