I have a 95 chevy monte carlo that i need to change the fuel pump in and the strainer i know i need to remove the gas tank but im not sure how to replace the pump its self

It is usually a self contained unit in the tank that contains the pump-fuel gauge and pickup stainer in one unit. a twistlock retainer nut and rubber washer secure the pump to the tank.

2003 3500 chevy gas gauge not working

98% of the time why the gas gage dont work is because the sending unit in ya tank is bad. If you replace it you might as well replace the fuel pump along with it. Only want to do this one time.

How to replace the gas tank in 2002 chevy monte carlo

I recommend you get the Haynes Repair manual on your vehicle for this job. Basically you disconnect the electrical wires from the pump, place a jack under the tank, release the two retaining bands then lower the tank making sure to disconnect any attached fuel supply and return lines.

Where is the fuel pump located on a 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo and how to replace it

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank and can be reached by removing the back seat.

Be careful when you are disconnecting all connectors and watch out for the pressure of the fuel pump.

Good luck....
