Have you checked the connection under the air bag on the steering wheel but you must remember to disconnect the battery leads then leave the car for 30 minutes for the air bag to discharge before doing that I would pull the radio out from the dashboard and check all the multi plugs on the back of it first there are normally a fuse for multifunctional steering wheel control just check make sure you tested the right fuse
it could be your clockspring; it carries multiple electrical signals to and from the steering wheel (audio controls, horn, airbag). the wheel has to be removed to gain access to it for replacement, but it can be tested without removal. the easiest way to test it is with a diagnostic tool
You most likely have a defective Combination switch (Also known as "Spiral Cable" or "Clockspring") The audio system uses pins 14, 18, and 17 of the combination switch to make conmection to the audio system. Pin 17 is the reference voltage in. A failure here, will cause ALL audio controls to malfunction at the same time. The cruise control uses Pins 19 & 20 of the combination switch....Totally different circuit. Just because this circuit is working, does not mean that the problem is not in the combination switch.
you wll have to remove the steering wheel to find the problem iam afraid ,its called a serpent coil or whatever and this is playing up ,make sure ignition is off nd remove the airbag to get to the steering controls but whatever you do remove the airbag but do not unplug it or the airbag light will stay on
if these features are in the steering wheel chances are they are not supported by the moduals if there not in the steering wheel and there in the dash chances are the place you had install them forgot to hook them back up take the vechile back and ask them.
