How to fix P1760 code on 1996 Nissan 240sx

p1760 is Overrun Clutch Solenoid Valve. Harness or connector, ( the solinoid curcuit is open or shorted ) or the override solinoid clutch is bad. God-Bless! call the dealer on a fix for this. They may be able to give you a readout of how to fix.

This Code 1760 shows that the shift solenoid # 4 has a circuit malfunction. You might try for more information. This Code is one where different Automakers use a Code for different problems.

On the Toyota, the information relates to a shift solenoid, for GM products the same Code is for a TCM and for Subaru it is for a Lateral acceleration Sensor Performance. The symptoms you have do not make sense for the engine problems you have. For Toyota, this is a trans shift problem.

If you listed for the correct Brand of car, a Toyota, then you seem to need trans work.

Your engine problem may not be generating a Code and you many have a trans problem that is secondary to the engine.

You might want to add more symptoms to your post or relist.
