a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hello cbmconstruct...i'm not allowed to call you in this chat forum, but i will do my best to help you here. I know how frustrating these security systems can be...another way for the dealers to make a buck...Do you have a blank master key? Should be a black one. Once these lights sets it no longer reckonizes your key or fob---The immboilizer is built in to the ECU.
Luckily for you they are resetable using a scan tool with the proper software. You should never have to replace the computer unless it it is destroyed. They can be reset to accept new keys (most dealers don't know this). Some can be done with scan tools, some require removal of the ECU or Immobilizer unit and can be reflashed to accept new keys....they get reflashed often for local dealers and auctions, this is a heck of alot cheaper than replacing the ECU at $1100+
I suggest getting in touch with a local locksmith (Must be an auto specialist) that has the required software. Or another option---Prices for a new master key run $40-$60, the programming for a master key would be $75-$95 depending on the dealership.
Good luck & i hope this helps.
