HI, this could simply be bad fuel but, i recommend changing the fuel filter at this point and, adding a pint of Sea Foam. this is good stuff and, it will clean out any impurities that may be inside the fuel delivery system.

If the fuel system cleaner and filter doesn't improve the performance, i would then, move on to the injection assembly. inspect each injector for its operational value. make sure every injector is firing and pulsing in correct timing. replace any injector that fails the inspection. I would also change the air filter if not done so already.

check for a faulty / blocked accelerator pump /circuit as this fits the lack of fuel squirt on acceleration description. Also check the timing of the ignition.

Starts in nuetral and park idles fine but stalls as soon as put into reverse or drive

Fuel system. Check filters and pump. Pump may run, but still not hold enough pressure to run engine as it should. I suggest replacing filters and pump anyway to rule them out as the problem. 95% sure its filter or pump.

can be a number of problems start by checking the vacuum lines for crack or leaks then fuel pressure -if low or cutting out change fuel filter and check fuel pump==-check -clean or repair /replace egr valve clean first with a carb cleaner valve usually builds up with carbon -check and clean or repair throttle body possible clogging-or adjustments

89 accord dx starts and idles fine but hesitates

check ur timing -
MARK with a scratch tool or use a yellow majiuc marker to see where the timing is now then-

loosen the distributor bolts - if you have a distributor on that model and - turn the distributor one way - then the other and see if it improves. You can slightly tighten the bolts or carry a wrench with you and drive the car and see if a new position improves the running of the car.
Also - change the plugs if you haven't done so - check them to see how they look anyway.
You may have a flooding condition on your hands as well but that is a whole new thing - so stick with timing and plugs -

hope this helps

The engine boggs down at high rpm. For instance, hesitates and boggs down when going up a hill or highway speeds. Idles normally and runs fine at low speeds.

if the fuel filter hasn't been changed do so, if the fuel filter is ok and has been changed out due to this problem you will need to monitor the fuel pressure under a load and make sure it doesn't drop below 45 PSI, it it does you will need to replace the fuel pump and the fuel filter. U also do say if you have a check engine light or have had the system tested for trouble codes that may be triggered by this loss of power problem.
