remove rear seat to get access to trunk

take it to a locksmith it will be a lot cheaper than damaging anything

Remove the back seat and will have a few small access holes to the trunk. You can try to hook them from there.

check trunk fuse

ON MY 1990 CAMRY IN THE TRUNK LOCATED ON THE BACK SEAT IS A TYPE OF SWITCH TO UN LOCK THE SEAT THEN INSIDE MY CAR AT THE HEAD REST ON EACH SIDE YOU PULL UP ON THIS BUTTON LOOKING THING AND THE SEAT FOLDS DOWN
MY SEAT IS A SPLIT BACK WITH IT DOWN YOU CAN CLIMB RIGHT THROUGH TO THE TRUNK

To program the transmitters, perform the following procedure while seated in the vehicle driver's seat:

Close all the vehicle doors.
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Press and hold unlock on the door lock switch.
Important: To successfully enter the keyless entry programming/diagnostic mode, steps 4 through 6 must be completed within 25 seconds of pressing the door unlock switch.

While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, insert and remove the ignition key twice. Do not rotate the ignition lock cylinder.
Insert the ignition key a third time leaving the key in the ignition lock cylinder. The ignition must remain in the LOCK position for the rest of the procedure.
Release the door lock switch. The chime will sound three chimes to signal that transmitter programming/diagnostic mode is active.
Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time on the keyless entry transmitter for approximately 4 seconds. The chime will sound two times to signal that the transmitter has been programmed successfully.
To exit the transmitter programming/diagnostic mode perform either of the following:
• Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

• Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch

Did you get the trunk open? having the same problem wirth my '05 Spectra and it apparently is not covered under the warranty.

there may be locks on the seat openers, you would need to insert the ignition key into them and unlock.

I had the same problem as you. Take out the back seat and there is a large access hole to the interior. There are two bolts that are fairly easy to get to. Remove them and the truck latch is removed from the lid and trunk will open.

does the release lever work next to the seat i think u only use the key to lock and unlock and then the lever to open it?
