all u have to do is what we call fooling the system.first locate the off switch for the air suspension and turn it off.its usually in the trunk on on either side ,its not hard to find. then turn the key forward as far as it will go without starting the engine.get a couple friends and get in the trunk be still and quiet then switch the switch on and listen for the compressor to come on,its located behind the driver head light so listen in that direction.once the compressor comes on wait...then when it stops turn the switch off and leave it off and everyone get out and it will have lifted as much as 7 and half if its to high just turn the key foward go back to the switch and turn it on and the car will start decending slowly but pay attention because you wanna turn the switch off about a quarter inch higher than you want it because it will settle a little after sitting or driving.i have a 94 lincoln with 8 12 inch subs thats lowered with the original airbags and i also have a 2001 lincoln lifted 8 inches with 26s using the original bags once again.[a little tip:rub down your bags with motor oil while fully inflated then wipe dry this will add around 2 to 5 years to the bags.MAKE SURE YOU wipe ALL excess oil off everything if not sand will stick and make holes quick. it is really worth it though.

Start with fuse, then the switch. Other than internal problems perhaps a short.

SOURCE: Need computer location in 2005 lincoln towncar

The code is on a paper label attached to a large plastic box containing several wiring harnesses behind the driver side door panel. Posts about it being on the trunk hinge arms, behind trunk panels, on computer module, behind the fuse box, and 'you have to go to the dealer' are incorrect for this series of Town Cars. After you remove the panel (you do not need to disconnect any wires), you will see the box up near the rear view mirror. An example code (3/4) (1/2) (5/6) (9/0) (1/2). If you press the keypad buttons in this order, left to right, the door locks will operate in the manner described in your opwner's manual.

Do a search on door panel removal to learn how to remove the panel. There are some good posts on this topic - some even have pictures.

SOURCE: what is the part called right above my break pedal

It is a BOO, Brake On Off switch. Most part stores just call it a brake light switch. If you have one switch on the pedal and you have cruise control, the switch does both jobs. Most cars have two switches though, one for cruise and the other for the brake lights. The one for the brake lights is usually just two wires.

1995 lincoln towncar air bag trouble: How do I reset system after code 12 repair. showing code 52 now.

Are you sure it's a code 52? I'm not seeing a 52 in the code index. Btw, code 12 is that the system passed it's automatic test. You could continue the chase to fix the air, but on a 20 year old car, it maybe a good idea to do an air suspension conversion on your Town Car and be done with it forever. ABS/traction control 1998 lincoln towncar

sounds like the brake pads may be metal to metal, that could be the noise problem, but until u have the system tested for the trouble code that is setin the ABS modules memory when the light comes on you are guessing, the Dealer is the only one in most cases that has the scan tool to check ABS trouble codes.
