Have the sedona scanned at an AutoZone or similar place and ask for code. they will not tell you whats wrong with it but they will give you a code. You can go from there. You can come back and tell us what the code is .

SOURCE: reverse lights don't work

Suspect faulty back-up lamp switch located on transaxle rear cover (manual tranny only) or faulty transmission range switch located on top left of transaxle (automatic tranny only).

SOURCE: I have a 2005 Kia Sedona... My tail lights are not

Try replacing the bulbs. If that doesn't work, check the fuse and replace if necessary. If that doesn't work find the relay and replace it. If that doesn't help, then you have a break in the electrical system somewhere.

Reverse lights not working

Check your reverse switch on the transmission to make sure its hook up . You will have to probably replace it . If you have not tried that first . Use a light meter to check the reverse switch if you have power at the plug then its the switch if theres no power then check your fuse box for blowen fuss

No reverse light, all fuse good. reverse Switch?

It's not that simple anymore . The transmission range sensor switch is what they have now . This range sensor informes the PCM - engine computer what gear the vehicle is in. When you put the gear selector into reverse B+ voltage from the range sensor to the PCM tells the PCM reverse has been selected , the PCM then will energize the reverse lamp relay (located in the under hood fuse/relay box) there by turning on the reverse lamps . There are two fuse's in the under hood fuse/relay box . F27 10amp. & F35 10amp.

The horn of my KIA CArens has stopped working. I suspect something at the push at the steeing wheel. Any help

check horn fuse
measure voltage at horn
one wire will be earthed to car body hopefully and the other wire will get plus 12 volts when the horn is pressed.
or one wire is always 12 volts and the other wire is connected to earth when horn button pressed.
check fire wall of car some kia have horn on firewall in engine compartment. or it is under the grill in front of car.

How do I get to the heater filter on my 2009 kia carens . I am presuming the pollen filter is behind the glove box, but I cant see any screws to get the glove box assembly out or in fact where the filter...

I eventually found the answer to my problem on a website called kia-forums.com telling me to open the glove box and pull it sharply and backwards.it disconnects from the plastic hinges. The filters are easy to replace by unclipping the cover which is easy to see. This is for a 2004 kia carens

I have changed the bulbs in brake lights. They dont work but the brakelight in rear window does .I am not sure which fuse if any to change.I have a 2003 Kia Carens.

It is most likely a blown fuse. If you have the owner's manual, it will tell you where the box is located (usually in the engine compartment). If you do not have a manual, look for the fuse box/ relay center either under the dash or in the engine compartment. There will be a diagram on the inside cover telling which fuse is for the tail lights/ brake lights. Pull that fuse straight out of it's socket, and replace it with an appropriately rated fuse (from any auto parts store).

Hello, how do you gain access to the pollen filter. It is behind th glovebox which does not open fully and I don't want to risk breaking it. Thanks. Kia Carens 2006 model

1 Clean out glove box. Remove support rod. It's on the right -- push it off of the knob.

2. Remove stoppers on both sides to let the box hang freely on the hinges. Using a screwdriver pry out the stopper while pulling it towards you. -- lift the box during this operation.

3. Remove the filter cover by "lifting" both lock tabs and prying/pulling on both sides of the cover.

4. Remove filter and clean or replace in reverse order. Note the directional arrow on the filter face.

It is more durable than it looks. Good luck.
