SOURCE: i need the torque specs for calipers on front

what type of fastener is the caliper held on by? if its a torx then usually turn it till it stops then smack it once and its tight. it shouldnt be a very tourque crucial part concidering your calipers dont spin with the tire. I have done my fair share of brake jobs and the caliper never fell off after i reinstalled it so your gonna be ok.

Hope this helps!

Caliper bolts get loose

the main mounting bolts? not guides?
caliper mount to knuckle bolts?
what torque did you use? in foot/lbs.

  1. id bet they are not factory spec bolts
  2. or you used the wrong torque page.
  3. or your tool is no good. (harbor fright tools?)
use a beam torque tool, it will never fib to you, like cheap clickers do.
I promise.
specs
tighten the caliper pin bolts to 26 ft. lbs. (36 Nm). Bottom bolt
there are 4 bolts specs here.
above pin
banjo 17ft/lbs
top B bolts is 61.5 foot lbs. (this came loose at 61 ?)
C spec is 5ft/lbs on bleeder nipples.

now alternator tack.
the rotor is warped so bad it bead the calipers to death.
the wheel bearing, is so bad , same.

ever check those for run out, and end play?
bingo if true.
damage and collateral damage are limitless.
