if i remember right if the battery light and check engine light is on, your alternators may be bad. your battery may just have enough to keep it running for a minute or so. you can take it out and get it tested at a auto parts store. or try charging your battery for awhile and see if it stays on longer. if this is completely wrong let me know

hi, it sounds as if the brakes are not releasing on that wheel ,and draging whilst you drive causing it to get hot. easy enough to check ,jack the wheel up and try to turn the wheel ,if it wont turn or a scraping sound is heard ,then that is what the problem is and the wheel needs to come off to find and fix the exact cause.

SOURCE: my 1997 mazda b4000 will not idle. I have replaced

Ok, you need to keep checking other related items. How is the charging system, tune-up history, vacuum lines, braking (vacuum booster), and the fuel system (how is the fuel line pressure and has there been any issues with water in the fuel)?

Engine surges not responsive to WOT

SOUNDS LIKE THE T.P.S. IS NOT FUNCTIONING. ALTHOUGH IT MAY TEST OK, IF IT IS NOT RESPONDING, THEN IT MUST BE REPLACED. UNLESS YOU HAVE A FUSE FOR THE TPS, THEN IT MUST BE THE ONLY REASON FOR NO THROTTLE RESPONSE. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. AND FOR AN HONEST RATING IN ADVANCE. GOOD LUCK.
