You need to check your High Air Flow Mass Sensor. If engine stays running when you unplug sensor. Then it's bad. This sensor controls how your throttle responds to your air flow from air box. If not reading good air flow at W.O.T. engine wont respond to Quick acceleration. NO POWER is what you'll get until engine begins to throttle up then it's now running on pure engine power but no throttle response. Try cleaning with carb cleaner or brake cleaner.

Sounds like fuel starvation. 1) change fuel filter. 2) change fuel pump. GM pumps don't hold up to water in the tank (methanol fuel) very well. Its a 2003 so its probably time. Never replace as many parts as you have, without first performing an OBDII scan of the stored fault history, to avoid buying parts you don't need

Truck starts and runs in park but when you put it in gear it stalls and when in park it has a dead spot when you give it gas

Sounds like your throttle position sensor is gone. The throttle position sensor is a sensor that tell the computer how much gas to give the engine. I had a very similar issue with a car i had where it would be ok when it was cold or idling but when i took off from a red light after it warmed up it would just stall.

When trans. is warm after extended driving the up shifts are very hard. This only happens during extended driving periods. Around town everything shifts fine.

Shift suddenly become very hard. When going from park to either reverse or drive it slams into gear. 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are also harsh. All gears seems to work. Problem may be intermittent: Check Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) for smooth electrical response. If the response is jumpy or erratic at all, replace TPS. Good luck Auto Zone or Parts Source has this part and can be replaced with in 20 min. Both parts store will have the step by step instructions and i believe the cost is around $65.00 for the TPS which is better then a transmission replacement.

1997 cheyv k1500 i want speed and more horsepower

First need to know what engine, and how much your willing to spend? You could add underdrive pullys, a better throttle body or even a new intake to get some more power, Also could change the gearing in your front and rear axles to a lower gear raito to change where your pwer would be more usefull I.E. 3.20: 1 would make it faster overall but 4.10:1 would make it faster of the line or more capiable for towing. hope that helps.

1997 Dodge Ram 360 5.9 won't idle in gear

Remove IAC motor/valve on side of throttle body that regulates idle especially under load conditions, and clean it & the port good with throttle body cleaner & re-try. If it cures it for a while, then does it again, replace it with new one.
