SOURCE: Window won't let down

It sounds like the wire harness has a break in the wire from the body frame to the door frame at the door hinge. You'll see a rubber tube that runs from the body frame to the door and the wire harness is in there, as the door is open the wires make contact and as the door is close the wire breaks causing your window to react the way they do. You can by the wire harness or you can repair the damaged wire to your window you self by taking the rubber tube off one side, door or body to get to the wires inside and find which wire is the one for the window and repair it. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted. be glad to help.

SOURCE: I have an 07 Mustang GT. When you open the door,

The window lowering and raising as you open and close the door is normal, it is designed that way to prevent damage to the weather stripping that seals the door glass to the body. The computer controls this action and is activated by the door switch. If the problem is only with the driver door then I would suspect a switch. If the problem is with both doors then I would suspect a computer glitch. Either way I would reccommend taking the vehicle back to the dealer to have it checked out and repaired. Is the car still under warranty?

SOURCE: mini one drivers door window

there is most likely a button sensor that is stuck - if you don't open the door much - that will do it - try spraying WD40 on the door components along the door edge where the latch is - also try wd40 on the latch inside the door -- open and close it say 35 times and after 10 or so it should work - but still keep on til 35 - then do that 10 times a month -

has the vehicle been in an accident around the drivers door A pillar? Sounds like there are some wiring issues inside of the harness or connector that goes from the body to the door.

Passenger side window comes down 1/4 in. when door is open, but moves up before I close the door- it hits the roof molding. Doesnt close properly.

it is off track, you will need to pull the panel off, the screws in the arm rest and then look for other screw may have one behind a plastic cap in the middle outer of the door. The with a flat tip go around the outside of the panel gently prying, it will pop off, then lift up and inspect. Good Luck Tim

Back window doesnt roll down properly when you open the door, so I have to push it down a little before I close it. Also the lock bottom for the windows doesnt work.

My soft top is not working, wont go down, when I release the catch the windows go down and when i press the up button to close thr roof the windows close but roof doesnt

No doubt your soft top issue has long been resolved but just in case someone has a similar issue:
I started to open my A4 Soft top externally using the door key method and like an idiot I must have disengaged the key before the soft top was fully down. I was unable to activate the opening or closing of the soft top automatically using either the key or soft top switch inside. I then manually closed the soft top using the users handbook and manual tool supplied. Soft top would still Not open automatically and the soft top alarm would activate. I solved the issue by manually opening the soft top fully and then manually closing the soft top fully. This seemed to have reset whatever had gone askew.

Drivers side power window doesnt roll up or down, doesnt roll passengers u/d either power locks both work, I got a Brn. & Blue going to window motor, Can I run a hot to one of them to see if its switch...

If you go direct to motor with jumpers, it should work, then reverse wires on motor to change direction. Don't forget to check wire loom in drivers door jamb, by hinges for a break, or bent/cracked/damaged wire(s) as well. That's a known bad spot for wire problems due to door opening & closing all the time, and wears out wires in there.

Front passenger door will not open everything seems to be working

you need to be more specific, if everythings working? why doesnt the window work? do you mean all the other windows work? does it work using the pass window switch? master (drivers) window switch? is the lockout switch on? ant noises? get in the passenger seat and open the door, now holding the window switch in the down position, pull the door closed , repeatedly, if its stuck, this may jar it loose.

Rearwindow/ door

if there are no broken wires inside the tailgate try lubing the latches with WD40 and open and close the tailgate several times. If the latches are properly closed on both sides the window will not work
