Fuel pump fuse is burnung up after its running for 30 min

i have seen the power distribution box connectors for the fuel pump relay and fuse on the underside of box get hot and short out. need to remove box and check. If no signs of melted connector. you will need to locate the short. It will be a short to ground. on the power side. also you will need to check to see how many amps your fuel pump is pulling when pump is running.

Dodge dakota fuel shut off

Well there is no shut-off fuse, but there is a 20amp fuse that powers the auto shutdown relay and the fuel pump relay.
It should be in the fuse box in the engine compartment, and the location should be in your owners manual.

I am not getting gas or spark

The fuel pump and coil are on two different circuits.
The fuel pump is on the 20amp ECM fuse and the coil, ignition module, and injectors are on a 20amp fuse #10. But the ECM fuse could keep the coil and injectors from working.
You would need to test the fuses in the box in the engine compartment, and the fuel pump relay and coil for voltage and ground. The pump relay is grounded by the computer for 3 seconds when the engine is cranked.

Where is fuel pump relay is location on Ford expedition 2001 4.6

It is located in the relay and Maxi fuse box under the hood near the battery, both the fuel pump fuse and relay are in this box, the fuel pump fuse is a 20Amp and is marked #10, the fuel pump relay is is marked as relay #301.

There is also a fuel pump cutoff switch (triggered by an accident exceeding 3 G's)

The fuel pump shut-off switch is

located in the passenger's foot well,
by the kick panel.

you hear/feel a click then the switch was tripped and you just reset it. The switch's job is to cut off

I don't know if th fuel pump is bad we just replaced two months ago or if it. A relay switch.were is the relay located?

Hello: The fuel pump relay is in the under hood fuse box, The location should be printed on the underside of the fuse box cover. The box should be on the drivers side under the hood. One other thing it could be is burnt/heated terminals on the connector from the truck wiring to the fuel pump harness. Also check the fuse for the fuel pump (20amp) in the same fuse box.
