Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

2001 neon timing belt replace

Timing belts and thrown rods and pretty close to impossible to overcome, without replacing the whole motor. I had to rent a tool similar to what you need, and it was 399$, but got my money back after returning it within 30 days. And it was a timing belt adjuster. good luck.

2001 eclipse serpetine belt broke put new ones on now car turns over but won't start.

2001 GT Eclipse Spyder..cranked this morning, both drive belts broke, harmonic balancer came apart..replaced balancer, belts, now it won't fire. I did find a piece of one of the drive belts intertwined in the timing belt. Thing is absolutely not getting any fire.

Replace drive belt 98 lumina w/o fixing a/c compressor?

Yes as long as the a/c pulley spins freely. You should be able to spin all pulleys by hand, except for crank pulley

My belt broke and now my car wont start why not?

Ok. If your car was running and then the belt broke and you continued to drive it. The case may be that you drained the battery because the alternator runs on the belt and the alternator keeps battery charged and if belt broke and you continued to drive then you may need to jump start vehicle. I guess I shouldve asked earlier but have you replaced belt yet?

My ac belt broke. Is it safe to drive the vehicle? Is it fairly easy to replace?

As long as it only is the ac then its fine, just replace it when you got some spare cash, or want heat back

Battery light turned on. Lost power steering and AC.

You broke your serpatine belt. Needs replacing. It's a $50ish part and easy to do if you have a diagram under the hood of how the belt fits. But if it was "rattling" for a couple of weeks take it in for crying out loud. Let the mechanic look it over to make sure your lack of vechile care didn't destroy anything under the hood.....
