You mean the gas filter its in the tank with the fuel pump its a strainer or do you mean the canister filter for the fuel tank this is in the evap canister in the rear of the car near gas tank in the evap assembly you need to remove the whole black box to take out the filter and if you mean the airfilter its under the hood in a box with a hose runnig to the intake it just unclips and you can take it out no problems

SOURCE: Fuel Filter location on a Petrol 2004 Kia Carnival

The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank, pump removal is required to replace. There is an inspection cover behind the front seats on the floor to gain access to the pump. stupid idea. but whats not stupid about kia.

SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter located on a 2003 kia rio

For locating the fuel filter look under the car, its just below the back drivers side door, you will see the filter there, its black if its factory and it has three hoses coming off it, basically, find the gas tank and work your way to the front of the car following the lines and you will find the fuel filter. Right by the tire more or less. Try the left side (drivers side) near the rear wheel by gas tank just after the rear door.

60,000 miles or 60 months to replace. Its fairly large and you can see the fuel lines going in and out of it. One nice thing it has snap fittings which makes change over easy.

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

2007 kia rio losing power when going up hills

Random misfires could be gas related- low fuel pressure, vacuum leaks or air leaks upsetting the air/fuel mixture ratio, clogged air filter or fuel filter. Could be ignition related- worn spark plugs, possibly. Or could be an internal mechanical problem-possible valve train malfunction.
Start with a fuel pressure test. check vacuum hoses for leaks, check intake manifold and throttle body assembly for leaks. If you have an exhaust leak at or near the engine, can cause misfires. Air going into the engine is metered by the mass air flow sensor in the big air boot on the throttle body. If extra air gets into the engine through a vacuum leak or a loose hose, the engine computer won't know it, so the air/fuel mixture will be too lean, resulting in misfiring. Several things to check-good luck.
