Check the state of refrigerant charge, the clutch will not engage if the system is low on charge. If it is low locate the leak and then repair and evacuate system with a suction pump for AC and recharge a set of AC gauages.

Why my camry V6 2008 A/C Compressor Clutch Won't Engage?

There are a number of cut out switches on the AC system that will prevent the clutch from engaging. The most common reason for this is the low side pressure switch. This switch will not allow the AC to function if the R-134a or R-22 is too low or has leaked out completely. This prevents the AC from turning on and burning out.My suggestion is to take your car into a garage that has the equipment to do a diagnostic on your AC system and go from there. There are kits available to the car owner for around 50 dollars that include gas but I find half the time the money is better put toward someone that knows what they are doing. good luck

Air conditioning problems

First check that all electrical connections to/from your air conditioning components are tight and secure with no broken or chaffed wires and connectors, or oil swollen connection points. Then check that all fuses and relays involved in the operation of your air conditioning system are operational. If all is good, then remove the belt around the air conditioner compressor pulley. Get a wrench and try to turn the front of the compressor pulley. It should turn with little to no resistance. If it wont move or is very hard to turn, it is probably locked up and needs repair or replacement. If it moves, then the compressor part is OK, but your clutch would likely need replacement. Some model cars its cheaper to just replace the whole compressor than to rebuild the clutch. Jaguar sounds expensive - I would seek out a junk yard. Good luck.

no it could be air condition clutch that engage/disengage the air condition compressor and disengage it through the pulley or could be the pulley bearings one of them . also check the solenoid that controls that clutch .
have a good luck sir .

According to the mechanic the clutch magnetic plate of our mazda tribute model 2005 burned which caused affected the function of the air conditioning is this possible?

I think what your mechanic is saying is that the clutch mechanism on your A/C compressor is bad. What this is "a magnetically controlled clutch which activates the A/C compressor and allows it to work"
so without the clutch the compressor will not function as it should.
