I have a 2001 mitsubishi challenger manual which is sticky to put in and out of gears sometimes not letting me access a gear I have to find one then easy again

Try putting pressure on the gear shift while letting out the clutch. When you feel the gear shift move a little push the clutch back in.

What causes hard sticky shifting on 5-speed manual transmission. The manual transmission was almost 1/2 quart low when I changed the gear oil.

If the shift lever is what is hard & sticky, get some grease & lube the handle at the joint at the trans. ( Maint. anyway) . The right gear oil? Was it doing it before the oil chg ? How's the clutch feel? Clutch, Pressure plate & throw out bearing poss. Smell any burning smells? One step at a time. Good luck

you should check ur spark plugs for the jumpy. and also if the car is a manual there might be a problem with the gearbox either the whole clutch kit is gone or just the master cylinder is not giving away the break fluid..

Nissan Primera 1.8 V reg. EML on perm and flashes especially on start up, wont exceed 4k revs, is very jumpy in 1/2/3 rd gear, hills very slow.. 40-50 at best, sparks replaced and coil pack changed......

The codes need to be read. This will point you in the right direction. But just guessing , it sounds like a throttle position sensor. But there are other sensors that could do this. Again have the codes read. Most parts stores do this for free.

On my audi a4 1.9tdi the mpg readout jumps all over the place.Just had it checked on the computer but it read no fault?

trip computers are notoriously jumpy because mpg is directly relative to throttle position and load. its not a fault. if the reading is steady when u hold accelerator position and gear then its working just fine. mpg will change as gears and accelerator position change because the engine is constantly changing load requirements. in other words the more u put ur foot down the more the reading changes.
