SOURCE: My 2005 jeep liberty (3.7)rear
My jeep wouldn't start, not even the horn or doors would lock and when I checked the back, it would make a noise but not open the rear window/door at all. A friend came over and tried for over half an hour to jump it but it wouldn't start still. Yesterday, my 16 yr old son, unknown to me, went to walmart and got another battery, but while the car runs now, a lot of the electrical stuff like inside lights and the radio no longer work now..there was a specific code on the battery, but he didn't ask anyone at the walmart service desk what kind of battery would work for the jeep, but called a friend, and so got one and put it in. My son says that a few of the fuses might be blown and that they don't cost that much to fix, but I am concerned that he bought the wrong damn battery for the jeep. It's an 05 jeep liberty, and I have extended coverage for it through mercury, but I have not been able to reach them since this happened yesterday on a saturday, and they are closed on weekends. The code for the battery that was in it, when I called and asked the walmart they gave me was 4609365AD, based on what one person saw on the battery, and the replacement battery is a walmart 'everlast', and the only numbers I see on that are 26-5N 630 525. Can someone tell me if he did get the right battery replacement based on that?

Most of the times on jeeps and all chrysler auto's they have a body control modual this is what controls your door locks , windows ect. It should be in the owners manual for all fuse location and identification. A shop with a scanner can check the door lock system for you. body control moduals go bad alot on all chyslers and if you buy one you need to buy it from the dealership they will program it . So check the owners manual for a fuse and then have the body control mod checked

Hey, did you ever figure this out? Ever consider swapping PCM's for a newer 04 PCM that would be tuned for this engine?

there is no fuse for this I would lean toward the switch. If you want to be positive it is the switch just the switch circuit and check your ground. Switch is pretty cheep for that.
