Many have clips that hold the fittings to the drums / discs / calipers.. if you look up your vehicle on autozone.com , they usually have a section on the bottom right side of the page that you can sign into for free. and it might show you how this all works ..

1995 GMC Suburban XLT 4x4 SLT. the top break light works but not the sides. Also the turn signals are not working. Have checked fuses and changes bulbs..What can this be

Turn signals are one of the easiest systems in your car to troubleshoot. Your signal flashers either work or they don't. If they don't, either you need to change the bulbs or you need to replace your turn signal relay. Know more about car diagnostic tools for automobile.

I want to change the oil on my 1991 gmc vandura 3500 but i dont know how

It cost the same for you to do an oil change or take it some where and have them do it, about $15 - $25 take it to someone who knows what there doing, you don't want to burn your car up because you left the oil filter gasket on.

Need to know how to remove the lower dash on my 1996 GMC Sierra pu in order to make it easier to get to my brake light switch at the top of the pedal?

  • To take replace the switch itself follow these steps.
  1. Remove the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the retainer from the brake pedal.
  3. Unsnap the push rod to remove the switch.
  4. Remove the connector.
  5. Reverse to finish the job.

  • Removing the lower half of the dash can be touchy because there is a little cable for the shift indicator that breaks very easy. You may want to just remove the steering column real quick if you need the extra room. Right from the floorboard. Remover them bolts and don't forget the connectors.

1996 honda accord will not go over 3500 rpm

Check for codes with a scanner or by bridging the diagnostics port found under the glove compartment. If it getting code 4 its surely the distributor. Honda go into fail safe at 3500 when the crank sensor goes bad Inside the distributor or monitor / ignition module. It\'s a one piece unit. Entire distributor needs replaced it dons\'t get sod separately. If your getting no codes don\'t be fooled its still the distributor. But check the cars side of the engine harness and plugs at Distribtor. Some years not sure 97 96 started having the crank sensor behind the timing belt bolted to the oil **** housing outer face. Its 2 sensors 180 deg from each other reading off of the lower crank timing pulley. Guaranteed problem solver. Check wires for breaks corrosion and if still no go it\'d be a bad ecm.

Need to know what fuel pump is needed for a 1998 sierra 3500 gmc pickup

If it is gas you will need to buy the fuel pump from the factory or from your local GM dealer, I do not recommend aftermarket pumps as they tend to fail after a short period of time. also replace the fuel sock and fuel filter at the same time, this is called preventative maintenance and will save you problems in the future.

I am changing the front brakes pads and on a 2004 3500 series gmc

Not really, some basic tools, metric sockets and wrenches, screw drivers and a 6" C clamp to compress the caliper piston.
The most important thing to remember is to make certain the caliper pins are clean and greased when you reassemble. If you are replacing components such as rotors or calipers, make sure you replace the parts in pairs. Make sure no grease or contaminants are on the rotors or brake pads.
Good luck.
You can go to www.autozone.com to get detailed instructions for replacing your pads.

Im changeing the water pump on a 199 gmc 3500 and I cat get the cooling fan off. There is a large nut attaches the fan to the water pump that turns everything but wont break free. what is the trick?

You can get the special tools to remove it or some people take a air hammer with a pointed bit and give the edge of the nut a quick hit in the direction the fan spins to break loose the nut.And to tighten it thread it back on half way then start the engine and when it spins it will tighten it up.
