i mean when applying the gas pedal the rpms do not change at all on the engine. I didnt see a cable operated system on the car unless I didnt look hard enough?

Is that the Black Module located on the side of the intake system? it has a electrical connector on it. Also can that be changed without upsetting other things with the car? Or should it not be changed by a DIY as other things have to be done so it will work correctly?

So is it that Black Square Module on the side of the intake with the Electrical connector? It appears to be located there to control the butterfly valve I would think if I am looking at it correctly.

The system is electrically operated via a gas pedal position sensor and throttle actuator motor on the engine, most likely cause is the motor for the throttle under the hood is defective.

My Nissan altima 2003 won't start but I smell fuel what could that be

Open the throttle all the way when starting. To much fuel is fouling out the spark plugs. If it still doesn't start check for spark, if its there, replace the plugs.

My nissan 2003 altima 2.5s cannot take gas

Could be low fuel pressure or a faulty throttle position sensor.
Have the fuel pressure checked and if the check engine light is on have the computer scanned for trouble codes.
