Question about 1992 Saturn SL
Disconnect the vacumm line to the EGR valve and plug the hose. If this solves the problem then your valve is bad.

Before spending big money on a fuel filter, you should check the etcs. There are a couple of wires below the egr valve that fit sensors in the head. The lower one is the temperature switch.
Some Saturns only have one, my 1995 has 2.
If it has a plastic tip, then replace it whether it is cracked or not. The newer sensors have brass tips, and will last the life of the car.

Replace the inline fuel filter.what's happening is when your tank is full the pressure is ok,but at about 3/8 of a tank the problem starts up again,you may have aolt of trash in the tankand need to do this 3 or 4 times to get it to pressureize steadly again.hope this helps
