Have a 99 CHEVY TAHOE and when i start it, it has a ticking and the number 6 cyclinder had missed fired before the problem started, and if you leave it sit it will tick like a rod knocking or lifter, it almost doesn't seem to be getting oil to the top of the block and it just had a new oil pump put in about 5 months ago. please help!!!!!

Either it is not getting fuel into the cylinders OR the spark plugs are not firing. Could be defective ignition switch, blown fuse to the fuel pump, blown fuse to the ignition, bad connection somewhere, you failed to pay for your permit to drive from the Homeland Security Bureau
i have a 99 5.7 chevy suburban and have to use starting fluid for it to turn on , ive replaced the fuel reg. and fuel pump is 4years old fuel filter 6months old new cam and crank sensor new distrbutor rotor and cap
the number 6 cylinder is located (if you are looking at it from the front of the car) it is on the left side third cylinder back from the front. you probally have a bad injector that is just dripping fuel into that cylinder.
