Check that the crank shaft sensor is connected and properly adjusted (air gap). Check that the cam shaft is connected and properly adjusted (air gap) . Check that all connections are tight .You may have to use a scanner to reset the CPU as the program becomes corrupted if the battery was disconnected for a while. Check that the immobiliser id working.

Nissan starting problems

Although I have never heard of a starter "swinging," I think you mean that it cranks the engine but the engine does not actually engage. Next step, check for adequate spark. If there is no spark, check your timing belt first (common problem as vehicles age). After that, check COIL PACK, and PLUG WIRES. Also, read out ODB codes from the engine to determine if there have been any sensor anomalies. Did you have a CHECK ENGINE light before the failure occurred?

How do i reset a nissan x trail computor

Remove battery terminal for more than 1 minute or longer - it will reset automatically. This is what I did to reset the computer BUT if you want to re-program the computer you need to take it to a Nissan dealer. Hope I was of any help!
