A thumping in the front end which matches wheel rotation speed. Stops if the steering wheel in moved left or right. Seems worst when not in a turn, just moving straight. Brake calipers, pads, and rotors have been replaced but the shake continues. Does not seem to affect steering or braking, except that you can feel the shake through the steering wheel and brake pedal. No unusual brake pad or rotor wear. Any ideas?

If your steering wheel was turn to one side but not released before you turned off the car the steering wheel may be putting pressure on the lock ... turn the wheel to reduce the pressure or you may have to jack up the front end (buth tires off the ground to relieve the pressure
The possibilities are depending on whether you hear the sound in the front or back of the car: You have a broken brake pad in the front or a broken brake shoe in the back; there is a bad wheel bearing that needs to be replaced, there is a flat spot on one of your tires.
If it happens when the steering wheel is being turned left or right when parking, it could be dry tie rod ends. They will have to be replaced and greased up well to get rid of the sound. This happened to my dad's 1998 Ford Taurus.
OK, I would change the tires if I had vibrating in the front end after all of that work.
Have the wheels/tires spin balanced in the front and have the tire tech check for out of roundness as it spins on the electronic balancer.
I wouldn't be surprised if the tires were out of round.
I usually recommend Goodyear or Michelin tires with an A traction and A or B Temperature rating and a long treadlife warranty (60,000 mi. or above) to get a rock solid feel in the front end at all speeds.
I just solved such a problem on my 1997 Cadillac Deville Limousine which had used Goodyear Integrity tires and replaced them with new Goodyear Assurance Tires which solved a front end and general body vibration at highway speeds.
Good luck on getting new tires for your vehicle, and hope the shakiness goes away!
IF IT ONLY THUMPS WHEN YOUR CAR IS MOVING YOU COULD BE WRITE. PAY ATTENTION TO THE THUMPING CLOSLEY, DO YOU FEEL A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL, IF SO THE PROBLEM IS IN THE FRONT END. IF YOU FEEL A VIBRATION IN THE DRIVERS SEAT THE PROBLEM IS IH THE REAR END. YES THE VIBRATION FROM THE FRONT STEERING AND THE DRIVERS SEAT IS A WAY TO TELL WHERE THE PROBLEM IS
I can't see it from here, so you need to look over the steering components to find anything with excessive movement...best way is to have someone move the wheel back and forth while you watch the steering gear ends to see what's loose.
from the left??? passenger or driver side... this maybe a CV boot problem depending on what side you are speaking of. A CV would be the Ujoint for front wheel drives
I hace a 19196 sable-the problem is the transaxle speed sensor-this part sends all speed info to the computer ..-First symptom(speedometer stops working and then transmission shifts erratacially and power steering becomes hard and engine light comes on..The computer on this all eletronic car cannot send proper signals to the speedo-trans-power steering and other functions without knowing how fast or slow the car is going..Have the SPEED SENSOR mounted on top of the tranaxle replaced and all will be well.Part is not to expensive.labor can vary depending whether you have 3.0OHV or DOHC engine-some cars have to have exhaust dropped to get at it-Good Luck All
