Question about 1994 Jaguar XJ6
Its the rocker switch inside the fan control knob. It can be disassembled, and from there you will see what i'm talking about. The switch can actually be disassembled and the contact cleaned, then the control unit can be reassembled. That switch is made of uncoated copper, and the corrosion built enough resistance to stop the fan all together. Another option is to head to radio shack and get that switch, it rins about 4 bucks.
To get to that, check out the posts for removing the skislope panel. It involves removing the center console ashtray and then reaching under the foot of the ski slope and removing those two nuts that retain the ski slope. From there everything else is pretty obvious from looking at how its bolted on. Be careful, youre gonna be turning a lot of screws, and theyre all different sizes, make sure to keep track of what screw goes back where.
