Several GM products, including the Chevrolet Impala and Malibu, the Oldsmobile Alero, the Pontiac Grand Prix, and Saturn Ion, have issues with the Security light coming on. This is many times an indication of a failing Body Control Module (BCM). Initially, the Security light will come on then go off, progressing to a constant on light, before the car will refuse to start. Other symptoms may include erratic action of electronics, a clicking sound coming from the glove box, and the air conditioning failing to blow cold air. I recommend a shop that specializes in the electronic systems of vehicles to diagnosis and make the necessary repairs. They should keep the car until they replicate the symptoms described. A new BCM from GM should cost about $230; plan on another $200 for them to diagnose the problem, replace the unit, and program the new unit. The dealers quote between $700 and $1,100 for the same repair. My experience and the experiences I have read on the internet, indicate the new BCM should last only about a year.

Suzuki xl7 2007 alarme armed and car is starting

I am not sure I understand what you have going on here, do you mean the security light is on but the car starts? If so then there is a fault in the security system sensors or wiring and when that happens the light doesn't mean the system is armed it means it is sensing a fault..

2004 security light came on

Usually the security light means the sensor in the key switch is not reading the chip in the key, or the chip in the key has gone bad.
Did you try a spare key ?

My security light went on this morning, and also my service light. What could that mean?

your service light is on because it's time to service something due to the milelage counter. The security light issue, you can fix by reseting the radio. That is if you have the code. The dealer will take care of the security light issue for free if they are nice. They did for me. But it's not truly an issue.

2004 Impala, the "security" light

It means there is a security issue with the vehicle. Most likely your passlock sensor in your ignition switch is sending the bcm false voltage readings causing the light to come on.You may want to get this checked out because it could leave you stranded if the sensor gets worse.Another issue could be the bcm is getting wet from a water leak in the vehicle.

The warning light flashes security

That means the factory security is not arming, not being set. ( i.e. a door is not completely closed or the trunk/door lock has been vandalized ) It could be for other reasons but first check the obvious
