2003 Santa Fe has a humming/buzzing sound that can be heard with the windows down. You will only hear it above 40 mph. The sound will go away below 40. Any idea's.

Tough one; Is there a roof rack on that car? The cross members could cause that, they're removable. Try that. If it were tire noise you'd hear them with the windows up even louder. If not the roof rack look for loose moldings esp around the windows.

2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, brakes locking up

Lets narrow this down a bit. You said all 4 wheels lock up. So the problem will will have a part in all 4 wheels. So knowing that, we can forget about the hose, master cylinder, and brake booster theories. It sounds like the ABS module is malfunctioning and surging. The Santa Fe's in the previous year had the same problem and were recalled. The problem with those was the ABS unit. Hope this helps you.

Humming sound undercar

Does this happen at all while turning the car? It could be a hub bearing. Just replaced mine and it was a humming sound. It would be pretty loud around 15 to 40 mph but got quieter after that.

Throttle position sensor

Although I'm not 100% on that being the problem, I'm going to have to give the benefit of the doubt to the guy that works on them all the time. Look at front of throttle body where air intake connects. Remove that hose or duct, and look on side of the throttle body, you should see it, on opposite side of throttle cables and linkages.

usually the trans in the santa fe doesent have too many issues, sounds like an eng. problem, my guess, poss. a plugged cat converter, or poss a throttle position sensor issue, i would take it to the guys who know the product, not pep boys or sears.

I have a 2003 Santa Fe (approx 71K miles - new brakes in March 2007) that has been making a low pitch sort of squeal when I am accelerating between 15 mph to 40 mph. Getting more frequent and sometimes at...

Either the caliper pins are not releasing properly(cleaning and lub. will solve that) thus causing brake pads to partially stay in contact with your brake disc(rotor)

or its possible that your brake discs have exessive riges on the outer ege(if spec. allows discs can be skimmed or replaced)

also try shamferring the brake pad eges and remove forreign dust/dirt particles from and arround your calipers.
