I have a 93 explorer and the tranny or oil is leaking really bad I think it's the tranny because it only leaks when in gear and its a bad leak it makes a line when I back up and take off or just sit s

Those A5 trannies are junk and can set the vehicle on fire in less than 5 minutes with low fluid. Red fluid is tranny, oil is oil. Rear seal-oil- big repair. Tranny coolant pipes-Tranny fluid-small repair. Replace filter, fluid, and gasket-it's probably over due-and check again for leaks. rear tranny seal leak, average size job.. Never use the stop leak! Throwing flour on the tranny works better-Just kidding.

Oil is pouring from the back of the engine in my ford explorer 2000 xlt, what could be causing this and what do I do?

Rear seal is out of engine or a valve cover leak. Also check to see if oil filter is loose.

A small oil leak is not problem, one drop of oil can spread out to the size of Silver dollar. Oil leaks are very expensive to repair and hard to pin down without access to a car lift. Tell Mom not to worry her little head about this. Cheers mate.

Oil leak about the size of a quarter on ground -

Check around your rocker cobver and around the engine for oil leaking down over. it is possible that its just oil sat in the catch tray under the car leaking now and then. I would expect after 2-3 weeks though that all this would be gone.

I always pressure wash the oil leaked area and then when it starts again you have a better idea where it came from.

Low compression on number 6 cylinder of 1996 ford explorer 4.0

check, 1. spark plug for firing(replacing plug is a cheap fix)
2.#6 spark plug wire for proper strong voltage.
3. distributor cap #6 TERMINAL, (replace cap for another cheap fix)
remember trouble problem may be intermittent, so it would be beneficial to use "CHEAP FIX" solution first. GOOD LUCK. KEEP ME INFORMED. THANKS
