I'm hearing a loud ''cranking'' noise from the back of my 1996 jeep cherokee mostly when making turns or hitting potholes/bumps-could it be shocks/bushings?

If shocks are bad, the links on the swaybar will hit the body on bumps. Check everything...you can see it...I can't!

After a bump it dies and now it wont turn on gas meter not working and no spark it just cranks on my jeep grand cherokee 1996

There should be a reset for the fuel tank. It is a safety switch that they have added to stop fires from rearend collisions. Not sure where it is on your vehicle. Look in owners manual or call dealership.

Hit a hard pothole with 2003 Jeep grand cherokee laredo. Immediately stopped. Fuel pump inertia switch?

Never heard of this switch in the fuelpump circuit. Remove the fuel cap and listen if you can hear the pump when you switch ignition on. The pump will run for 3 seconds when you don't start. Hitting the pothole can have dislodged many things, from relays and connectors to a line.

Jack up the wheel and see if it has play up and down and left and right. Have someone watch inboard as you move it. A bad cluck will usually show itself.

2000 jeep grand cherokee has a loud knock in engine. Started out as a ticking sound like a lifter, know it is a loud knock. This is a V-8 Engine

If the noise still sounds like it's on top, I'd remove the valve covers and check the rocker arms to make sure they aren't broken or worn. Also crank the engine over and observe how far each travels. If any are different, a lifter or lifter and cam have gone bad.
If your oil pressure is low or the noise is deep inside the engine, likely you have a crank bearing problem. In most cases it's more economical to get a scrapyard replacement rather than do a rebuild.
Before doing anything like that, have an experienced tech listen to it. Only other thing that can make a noise like that is a broken flywheel. A good tech can tell the difference between noises and give you better advice than I can because he can hear it.

1996 jeep cherokee steering wheel shakes when i hit a pothole or big enough bump

Make sure your steering stabilizer is in good shape. It sounds like it is time for a replacement though. Possibly a ball joint or tie rod end problem, but most likely the stabilizer.
