The passenger side door on my 2000 kia sephia won't open so how do I removal the inner door panel so I can repair or replace the part

Roll down window, look down into door and try to pull on steel rod. (long needle nose might reach). Carefully remove door panel from the top and again try to pull on steel cable.

If you do not know anyone with a slim-jim that has knowledge of the inner workings of your door, about the only way is to try to get the door panel off, and this is no easy feat with the door closed. And then reach into the door itself and actuate the rod to the latch.

You might have to take of the inside door trim and open it by hand.

Replace door light switch.

Open door from outside remove interior door panel replace interior door handle these break all the time cheap plastic.

Remove & test all door window switches that
operate that window

If they are good, then remove the inner door panel
& check for a broken regulator cable & if necessary
unplug & put 12V directly to the motor to test it

If you replace or lube anything, you will need to do a
Door Window Motor Initialization

You push window button to second detent & hold until
glass stalls into top run,then hold 2 more seconds

If you do not ,you won't have the one touch feature

By hook or by crook the door panel must be removed in order to access the internal mechanism even if it must be badly damaged and need replacing. It is usual to remove the seat to improve access.

real headache.I would call dealer ask if there are similar problems on other sephias (2000) if so what caused it.

pls. be more specific in describing the problem/ door panel means the complete door/ u mean u took off the whole door to install speakers? or just the door trimboard?
