There should be two things that look like clips on top of the lights. Raise them up and wiggle the light out. I have a rubber cap on the back of mine and it should come off easily.

I'm not a salvage yard type guy--- but I sure wouldn't buy
much for a 1999 Jimmy

I have had a 1984 S10 Blazer for 28 years

I would get whatever you need at the yard, not new for those
prices

Change 04 envoy bulb

Headlight Replacement (Envoy)

Lift hood, at top of each headlight assembly look for two L-shaped tabs. Pull these tabs straight up, this will release the headlight assembly. Lift assembly forward to gain access to rear of assembly. There two rubber caps, the top one is for access to the low beam and the bottom for the high beam bulbs. Remove the appropriate cap, grasp bulb socket and turn CCW to release. Unplug bulb from socket by releasing catch on side of socket, install new bulb, DO NOT touch bulb glass with fingers. Reverse steps to re-assemble.

The headlight assembly doesn't come apart (not easily anyway). To remove it from the car, there are two L shaped tabs located at the top of the assembly, pull these straight up. This will release the assembly.

Replacing the low beam headlight on a 2004 gmc envoy

Just above the headlight assembly are two angled tabs, pull these straight up (they may need some effort). These will release the assembly, carefully pull the entire assembly forward. Access to the headlight bulb is behind the two rubber caps, the upper cap is for the low beam. Remove this cap, twist the headlight bulb socket CCW and remove. Disconnect bulb from harness by prying up gently on locking tab on socket, and pull bulb out. Being careful not to touch the new bulb glass surface with your finger, plug it into the socket and install it back into the headlight assembly turning it CW. Reinstall rubber cap, seat headlight assembly on frame, lining up the bottom and top pegs. Once the assembly is fully seated, push the two angled tabs down, locking the assembly in place.

Open hood, look for two L-shaped tabs on top of the headlight assemblies, pull these straight up. This will release the assembly. lift assembly out as far as wiring harness will allow, look for a circular rubber cap on the rear side of the assembly, the top cap is for the low beam, remove cap and turn bulb socket CCW to release socket. Unplug old bulb and install new, DO NOT touch bulb glass. Re-assemble in reverse order.

How do remove the cover from the headlamp bulb 2003 envoy

open the hood.
there are 2 small steel "tabs" which you need to pull straight up.
once these are in the up position, pull headlight assembly forward.
remove plug connector to headlight, prying the wiring tab with a screwdriver.
rubber cover can be pulled off exposing the back of the headlamp bulb.

How do I remove the headlight cover to replace the bulb on a 2002 GMC Envoy

Open your hood and there are 2 clips on the top of the headlight assembly. Pull up on both of them and the headlight assesbly can be pulled out. You will then simply need to twist and remove the old bulbs from the housing.

Replace headlight

It is quick and extremely easy to replace the headlights on the envoys. Look at the top of the headlight assembly. you will see a kinda large lever you can pull up. Pull it up and the entire headlight assembly will be released from the car. Be prepared to hold it, and whatever you do, do not touch the new bulb with your bear hands!!. Kinda self explanitary once you get the bracket loose by pulling up the lever. Replace the bulb, and put the assembly back in the same way,, and press back down on the lever. Your done,, takes about 2 to 3 minutes.
