From a local tyre and honda dealers, a growing noise at the back were caused by tyres profiles. According to them, CRV's come standards with certain brand ( Goodyear i think) and with certain size and certain profiles, so if you have got different ones at the back, it would create that noise. I've got myself honda crv 2005. hope its helpful.

Rear Noise on Honda CR-V when turning

it sounds like you brakes are bad or going bad, block front wheels so they cant move!!!! jack up the back of the crv till tires are 1" to 2" off the ground, put shifter in N stop and spinn back wheels by hand lision for the noise, it is probably the brake squeaker on the brake pad and needs to be replaced

My car makes a bad growling noise. Everyone said that it was a front wheel bearing because that tire was worn down really bad on the outside. I replaced the passenger front wheel bearing, and it is still...

WHEEL BEARING USUALLY STARTS MAKING A ROARING TYPE NOISE WHICH USUALLY GETS LOUDER THE FASTER YOU DRIVE, SOMETIMES THEY WILL BE LOOSE , TO CHECK JACK UP THAT WHEEL AND GRAB TOP AND BOTTOM OF TIRE AND SHAKE, IF THERE IS MOVEMENT, TRY TO GET SOMEONE TO ROCK TIRE FOR YPU AND WATCH WHERE AXLE GOES INTO CENTER OF BEARING AND SEE IF AXLE IS MOVING WITH TIRE MOVEMENT AND SPINDLE REMAINS STATIONARY, THEN IT IS BAD BEARING, OR SOMETIMES THERE WILL BE NO MOVEMENT, THEN BLOCK REAR WHEELS AND RUN CAR WITH THAT WHEEL IN AIR AND SEE IF YOU HEAR NOISE, GOOD LUCK.

My 2007 Honda Crv is growling when backing up Honda replaced the rear differential oil at 8000miles and once again at 15k the problem has returned. Has Honda come up with a better solution than replacing...

No. Contaminated rear diff fluid causes this noise while making sharp turns. By changing your service interval to every 15k miles will keep the noise under control.

Noise from the rear of my 97 crv when turning left and right

Hi

Sounds more a rear wheel bearing problem ?

Check for excessive play, and noise from both rear wheel bearings and hubs, with the vehicle jacked up and supported safely.

Good Luck !

A FixYa rating would be nice...Thanks... John.

HOWLING NOISES

Did you check your Transmission fluid and your differential fluids make sure there up and I don't know if you checked your rear wheel bearings or not, You can usually tell a wheel bearing when you are driving the car at highway speeds and you go around a corner and it get quite a bit louder Depending on what way you are turning if your turning right and it gets louder it will usually be the right side front or rear. the left usually the left front or back. some cases I have even heard Axles making a Howling Noise. Please let me know what you come up with. And Thanks in advance If I helped you out any. Bear001
