Question about 2003 Chevrolet Impala
Feels like abs coming on when not needed. I have heard it6 could be sensors in the wheels.??? Any assistance appreciated.
I had the same issue and took it to the dealer. They changed out a sensor and a hub. It cost me over $550. About 1 month later the same thing happened again. They tried to tell me they had to do same thing and I told them they just did the work 1 month ago. So they re-checked it and told me that the issue was that one of the tires was low in air pressure. Although the tire monitor sensor did not come on, I did have a previous flat and put on a new tire. They filled it with air and the issue has gone away. I know it sounds dumb but check your air pressure. If this works then I think that GM should put out a recall notice. This is really scary when your abs activates and you are on drive.

Please have your vehicle checked using a scan tool! to determine where the fault is! but its sensor or actuator related failure.
