yeah i have the same problem with a 2000 328ci but when i am sitting at a light the car pulses and bounces a little i know i have a cam shaft senson out but it also sounds like i have a vacume seal leak cause it has a whisteling sound when i press on the gas. when i am on an upgrade or a hill itll die if i dont floor it

Check the air boot coming off the throttle body/idle valve for any large cracks. Most common vacuum leak is the vacuum regulator. I reccomend replacing it along with the 4 hoses that go to it, they often break upon removal. A smoke machine works great for checking for vacuum leaks.
