Question about 1997 Jeep Tj
I was wondering if my climate control panel is supposed to illuminate?
The instrument panel illuminates just fine.
I'm just sick of having to turn on my interior light while i'm driving at night time in order to adjust my climate controls.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I would suggest replacing the headlight switch as it also controls the brightness of the dash lights by a variable resistor. If it has shorted, it will blow the fuse. Once the fuse gets replaced, it could have burned out the resistor completely. Chances are, unless something caught fire, or smoked horribly, a wire hasn't been burned out.

You need to pull off the knob and get a pair of really thin needle nose pliers in there to extract the bulb. Match the bulb up at a parts store or the deal and install opposite of removal.

Check the dimmer wheel or knob. I do not have the specifics for this model just a general idea. Check fuses first with a test light. Let me know if I can help more. Thanks.
