The code P0135 is for high resistance or short in wiring harness or oxygen sensor bank 1, bank 1 is the bank with cylinder number 1, check the harness wiring to the O2 sensor if all is ok you should replace the O2 sensor, the P1131(bank 1 lean) code is more than likely a resulting code from the P0135. 1998 Ford Ranger super cab heater fan problem


Check the resistor block. It is located under the hood on the passenger side firewall under the fan motor. It has two small screws holding it in place with a wiring plug attached. Clean out corrosion to restore good electrical connections. If cleaning does not restore operation a new resistor block will be required. Weatherproof the outside of the wiring plug to prevent further corrosion and reassemble.
