Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
Have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport (3.8L) with all the same problems described prior: Tranny shot out mid drive and was in limp mode the drive home, only problem that no one else seems to be having is that now it won't start! I replaced the Input and Output speed sensors as recommended to no avail. What's bothering me though is the no start. I really want to get a new battery into the thing or at least get the one I have in there charged because it's still fairly new. Hooked up a scanner (Auto Enginuity PC based scantool software) and pulled a P0700 (TCM request MIL ON) so immediately looked to the tranny for problems, went back for another scan - this time including the TCM - and got a puzzling "No response from module" which to me indicates an electrical failure if not the TCM itself.
From what else I've read: the TCM is integrated to the PCM so the replacement is gonna be pri$ey, and for this reason I want to exhaust all options before actually going through with it. The only thing I can think of that's causing the no start is the battery or a lack of spark (have air, fuel and compression), but would the TCM be a cause for this??? any help is appreciated, Thanks!
