Question about 1999 Dodge Stratus
I bought a 99 stratus, with a 2.4l, it had been siting for a year. I dove it home fine, now it wont start...it trys, but wont catch all the way for more than 30 seconds or so. I unsnaped the fuel line at the fuel rail and push in the vale with a scewdriver to open it, then turned the key on, I only got fuel for a second, then it stoped, if you turn the key off and then back on, it does it again....any ideas?
Might be bad gas or it sounds like your fuel pump is out. It doesn't cost very much but I think it is located in the tank itself. Drain the tank and discard the old gas. take down the tank and replace the pump. This should fix your problem.
