SOURCE: after replacing the pinion seal on my wife's 04 f1...

Did you get to correctly tighten the pinion nut to the proper ft pounds of torque level? This nut sets the preload on the pinion bearings, and if this value is not correct, things can go bad quickly.

Were you also able to replace the crush sleeve?

If not, this may also be the issue.

Radio dome fuse in Suzuki escudo keeps blowing

wow no year, 1988 to now. !!!

that means that feed is shorted,
the fuse blown prevented the for sure fire, if you bypassed that fuse.
the wires are shorted or the loads connected to it are shorted.
we find this easy by reading the schematic first.
to see what is there. on the feed.

no year, nor engine.size.
so its IMPOSSIBLE to answer, accurately at all.
this is a USA forum and we dont have ESCUDO's here. in USA.

our Vitara/sidekick/trackers are simular.

ill answer for 1995? (our cars simular)
our Vitara has the G16 engine
the dome fuse runs:
  1. the DOME lights,
  2. the PCM/ECU memory.
  3. the radio memory
  4. TCM memory if fitted with and automatic transimission
  5. Cruise control if fitted. (opted)
  6. and more.

to find all shorts we use an ammeter,

http://www.fixkick.com/power-elect/blows-fuse.html

finds any short on any feed line. (12vdc power)

Where is the diagnostic plug for a Suzuki Escudo 1993 located? I have been told its near the battery, but I have looked in the area many times and cant find it!

Have you look under the steering column. There should be a port there and one under the hood some where near you battery or side wall like the fuse box.

Can I replace a suzuki vitara 1998 v6 engine with

If everything is the same - yes I would say check with Suzuki dealership. BUT in most cases the service department and the parts department will say no because they have different part #s. But if you have a good parts man he will do his homework to get the sale.

I have a suzuki escudo(sidekick) 1993 and have no spark

If its not the igniter, maybe you forgot to time the engine (timing marks will align at #4 firing poition, not at #1) when you remove the cam shaft. If the engine is not properly timed during assembly, it will not surely fire.

Looking at getting some rims of a suzuki sj413 to fit my 1990 suzuki escudo but unsure if they will fit?

The stud pattern is the same, but the offset is different. This will affect handling (steering), and may have legality issues in some jurisdictions. For a 2nd set of rims for offroad use, you wouldn't notice any problems. Just check clearances before forking out money.

SUZUKI ESCUDO N 4H 4H LOCK 4 L LOCK

I will assume you have the same thing as in a Suzuki Grand Vitara :
N : Neutral : use this when you tow your vehicle.
4H : Use it in normal road conditions, highway, etc.
4H Lock : Use it on offroad, snow, sand, ... etc
4L Lock : Use when you are stuck on snow or sand, BE CAREFUL, this mode is only for difficult situations, do not exceed 25 MPH, and do not use it in normal conditions.
Hope this help.
