Question about 2001 Chevrolet Venture

Oil suddenly pouring out of lower front of engine

The 2001 chevy venture was fine yesterday.
I pulled out and oil just started dumping from the front of the engine.
I have found out that it is my oil preasure. It is so high that it pushes the gasket out of the oil filter. I changed the oil filter and I have the same problem.
I have lost 8 qt of oil already trying to diagnose.
It immediately pushes the oil out.
I need help any ideas why it would all of a sudden just do this?

There is only a seal on the oil filter. I have changed the filter and have the same problem. I have removed the filter stud and it is fine I cleaned it and re installed it, put a new filter on and I have the same problem. Oil pushes the top part of the filter seal out and it sprays it everywhere. I am not over tightening the filter everything is seated fine.As soon as the engine starts I could feel the seal pop out on top then it rained oil again.

Location airbag sensors on a 2001 Chevy Venture

Not being too familiar with the Chevy venture apart from being in the vacinity of the radiator somewhere the only other option I would of thought is on the front part of a chassis rail where the bumper bolts to my reason being is that you would not want the airbags to deploy from a slow impact but a more fierce impact when damage could start to crush the front part of the chassis then the airbags would be deployed

Oil leak

Sounds like the rear main oil seal. There should be an inspection port on front and bottom of the transmission. Remove the cover and see if there's oil. If so, pull the engine and replace the seal.

The engine and cradle do indeed come out the bottom easier. when the cradle is supported and dropped free from the body the body front will be light enough to be picked up by the engine hoist far enough to pull the cradle assembly out from underneath

Engine problem

Re check the wire harness and pay attention to the crankshaft sensor. I hope that's a good start for now and good luck.
