Did they check the wiring in the ECM wiring loom? The car's computer would have a separate wiring and have a lot of them inside compared to the rest of the car. This happened to me once and had the car ECM rewired because of it.

I turned on my right turn signal and after I turned it didn't go off. Now it is constantly on, and it won't go off even when the car is turned off. We tried checking the fuses, unhooking the battery, and...

aaahhh i just recently diagnosis this problem on another...in the steering column there is a switch called a multifuntion switch, the winding or contacts are damaged. This is NO job for the unskilled,it requires disabling and removal of the steering wheel and your airbag..which can deploy causing injury. If its damaged it will need replaced..so shop around to find the shop who can give the best price with warrenty.

A/C has quit working on fan speeds 2 thru 4.....it will only work on speed 1 but the fan itself still works on all speeds...it just seems to kick the a/c off on speeds 2 thru 4 and blow hot air ....2001...

You probably have a bad fan switch. I had the same issue and had it diagnosed and replaced. It fixed the problem, but it seems to be coming back less than 2 years later.

Check engine light intermittently flashing, car jerking.

Could be fuel or electrical related. Since you may not know the history, this may take a while.
Any amount of smoke from exhaust? White, Blue, Black?
Start with most obvious and inexpensive:
1. Fuel filer clogged (replace fuel filter).
2. Could be the ECM (Electronic Control Module). It controls the ignition spark timing.
A few other things... consider other expert solutions...

2002 mazda protege, recently had a/c hose replaced. Now when I run the a/c it makes my car surge

Well, if the A/C was not working, but now is working, can this be normal A/C load? A/C is fairly heavy load on your enging, and may be quite noticable when working correctly...

Sunroof problems and heater

first the easy problem is the blower. it has a faulty resistor. it works on 4 because 4 bypasses the resistor to give you full power.

the sunroof sounds like you've got a shorted wire somewhere. the open power wire has to be shorted to a 12v power sorce. there should be a sunroof fuse. check the owners manual for it's location. but if the wire is shorted it may open without it. you may have to remove the headliner to unplug the sunroof motor itself.

Can't find the turn signal or emergency flasher fuse for 1998

Conrad, up north.
My protege is a '99. The turn signals and hazard flashers use the same flasher unit. It is located under the dash to the left of the steering wheel and above and a bit to the right right of the driver's side fuse box.
