Code P0300 I am having the same problem. I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. We have replaced the following: Plugs Wires Cap & Rotor PCV Valve TPS Sensor Catalytic Converter Upper & Lower Exhaust manifolds Oxygen Sensors - all three Used Lucas Fuel Treatment - regularly Transmission I'm completely at a loss and I dont have any more money to guess. PLEASE HELP!!!

    Yes the computer was reset.
    I am having problems with my 1999 Chevy Tahoe 5.7L. My service engine soon light can on and I had it checked at Auto Zone. It reads code P0300. The truck is misfiring. It vibrates when stopped and when put into gear. It also acts like it is clogged. It does not accelerate properly. It is also drinking gas.

I seen this happen when people use a chemical than sales on auto part stores I cant remember the name but it seas than "guaranties to pass emissions test"
what happen is than people put to mush on the gas tank
and when it get in to the engine makes the spark plugs stop working properly because they get whet and it is electrical conductor and makes the spark go true the white porcelain of the spark plug and will not jump causing a misfire.

if you did use this chemical you going to have to empty your gas tank put some fresh clean gas on it, flush your injectors by cranking it whit no spark plugs and replace all your spark plugs.
even if they are new they are no good.
an that shout solve the problem.
If you dint buy this chemical.
wait on till your engine is totally cool take all spark plugs of if you have just change them and the center is all black instead of white
that means than you exhaust is plug up. if not place a paper towel
on top of the spark plug holes ask some one to crank it up.
the towel should get wet whit fuel on each hole.
if one is missing replace the fuel injector of that cylinder.

Code 123 is for a problem with the throttle position sensor circuit. So if you have replaced the sensor, either it is not calibrated or there is something going on with the wiring back to the computer.
Code 443 is for the EVAP purge control circuit. Same thing if you have replaced the purge solenoid.
You could also have a problem with the engine computer. You'll need a shop manual to get the testing procedures for each code.

Egr valve for 1997 cheve Blazer code is 0300 misfireing what could be the trouble

usually this code is followed by another number 1-4 or 1-6 or 1-8 depending on how many cylinders your vehicle has ,, what the code you got is a basic P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty spark plugs or wires
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
  • Faulty camshaft position sensor
  • Defective computer
  • I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
Basically this means that the the car's computer has detected that not all of the engine's cylinders are firing properly.

A P0300 diagnostic code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it corresponds to the cylinder number that is misfiring. A P0302 code, for example, would tell you cylinder number two is misfiring. Unfortunately, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-firing, nor why.

Symptoms may include:
* the engine may be harder to start
* the engine may stumble / stumble, and/or hesitate
* other symptoms may also be present


Causes: A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* Faulty spark plugs or wires
* Faulty coil (pack)
* Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
* Faulty fuel injector(s)
* Burned exhaust valve

Hi,

A quick Internet search on those codes pulled up the following info.

  • Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the code, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.
  • Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses
  • Inspect for damaged or disconnected hoses around the Evap purge solenoid

  • Check and/or replace the purge valve
  • Have a professional use a smoke machine to detect leaks
