2004 Oldsmobile Silhouette abs and all wheel drive disabled light

Lights were going off and on and are now on constanty. Not a break pad issue, fluid good, tires and air pressure good.

I keep loosing break pressure and I have to keep pumping my breaks is this a major problem

1.could be you need break fluid
2,break pads getting low.
3.slave cylinder faulty.
4.master cylinder faulty.

6. get it checked out asap and dont drive it just incase your breaks stop working.

Change front break pads


1.jack up both tire.
2.remove tire.
3.unbolt break caliper.
4.remove old break pads and take cap off break fluid.
5.use pliers or c clamps to push back in caliper to sit ffush.
6.install new break pads
7.reverse process

How do you change the front brake pads


Remove tires, remove bolts holding calipers in place, remove caliper, replace old pads with new ones, use a c clamp to compress caliper, bolt caliper back on, put the tire back on.

Just changed rotors and front brake pads. Pumped pressure back with break pedal. After you start vehicle all break pressure is lost- no breaks. Whats going on?


You are either low on brake fluid or you have a vacum problem. It is a long shot but possible the Master Cylinder is having an issue or an air bubble in the system. Start the vehicle and make sure it is blocked. With the engine running perform system bleeds on all four calipers. Pump 3 times then release bleed valve. You are going to need a couple bottles of brake fluid to bleed all these calipers and get the air out of the lines. You should make sure the primary vacum is connected to the master cylinder and that there are no leaks on any lines before you start the bleeding process.

I have a 2007 Suzuki Forenza Sedan. I have no break pedal pressure, the pads are new and the fluid level is correct. I can pump the pedal several times, push the pedal all the way to the floor and the left...


Sounds like you're having an issue with your master cylinder, or you just need to add break fluid and bleed the lines. If you don't know how to do that, take it to a mechanic.

take the cape off the break reservoir start with the rear break farthest from the master cylnder then do other rear break then the front farthest from master cylinder . If you have ABS then look in the owners manual under maintance it should give you the procedure

Replace rear brake pads on a 2003 honda civic


break pads are easy to replace......this is what you should do

things you need: hex keys for if the bolts are socket like....or a good pair of plyers if they overlap.......

1. open you cars hood
2. remove the cap off you brake fluid reservoir.
get some fluid out of it first.
3. now its time to remove the tires.
4. ok look at the rotors and you should see the calipers.
5. its time to get the calipers out.
6. unscrew the bolts "there should be two only"
7. now that you have taken the calipers off take the break pads off aswell.
8. make shure you dont twist the hoses too much or they will break.
9. now its time to compress the caliper cylinders...
10. if you have a "c-****" get it out get one of you old break pads and place it on top of the cylinder, then get the c-**** on it and start twisting until it compreses back,"be careful not to go to far"
11. if you are successful compressing them...now its time to get the pads on.
12. make shure you put them right "the one that clips goes in the cylinder and the other one goes in at the front of the rotor.
13. dont missplace them or they will not work well.
14. if you are succesfull puting them back were they belong, now its time to get the calipers back on the rotor.

15. make shure that your calipers move freely, because if they dont them they will produce excessive friction and perhaps even rotor wear
16. its time to check the fluid. make shure you dont over fill just a little bit below max line is good. because as your brake wear and so will the fluid go down.

17. put tire on and start driving just a little bit...make shure that your brakes work and you should be good to go...

2002 tahoe breaks lock up during driving


It sounds like the rear calipers are bad. Raise the rear wheels and see if you can turn the tires. If you can't, open the bleeder. If you still can't replace the caliper. If you can turn the wheel after you open the bleeder, replace the brake hose to that wheel.

I will give you solutions in this order:
1. change oil and oil filter
2. check air filter, all lights ( brake, signal, head lamps both low and high beam, backup, and side markers) all fluids, belts, tire pressures, check the condition of transmission fluid it to may needs changing alone with a new filter if you havn't changed it before.Check and change as needed spark plugs and wires. HAPPY DRIVING.
