Rear suspension on 1998 Ford EXP wont raise

The rear suspension on my 1998 Ford Expedition wont raise. I checked all the lines for leaks front to back, the bags as well. I tested the operation of the rear electronic leveling valve and that is working. It engages the compressed when moved manually and when I jack up the truck and let it back down with the key switch on. I replaced each air bag solenoid because I verified air was present at the solenoids and bags and verified voltage present to both. There is air in the bags but it never raises enough to get the ride height to the correct level. The truck rides on the axle rubber stops more so on the right than the left. The compressor seems to run more than it should also. Again there are no leaks in the system. Previous repairs where replacement of the compressor that went bad and front air shocks which where bad. The rear suspension problem happened months after those repairs. The check suspension light comes on after driving around for a while but will go off if I turn off the truck and turn it back on. HELP!!!

Thanks for the response but I doubt it. I checked everything for leaks and could not find any. The rear bags inflate to basically the same amount.

Air bag pump is running, new airbags . rear bags wont air up.

These Lincoln air suspensions are terrible. I have converted many over to coil springs at a fraction of the cost of replacing/repairing the bags. If the rear bags don't inflate, there is a broken air line to the bags or the bags are leaking

Where are suspension airbags located on 1999 ford expedition Eddie Bauer so I can check for leaks?

Front or rear ? Either way rear are on axle just inside leaf springs and the front should be just in from tires going up to inside wheel well .

My 2001 Ford Expedition looses air in the rear air bags after i cut it off. I don't hear any air leaks or anything! What can be the problem?

the air bags release air after it sits. The rear raises back up after starting engine, if you add weight, it raises up even more to compensate for level suspension. It should be fine unless it's sitting almost on thr ground, but it does release air and sit lower.

The rear suspension is down on my 1999 Ford Expedition - Eddie Bauer. The cause: while out in the woods I came across a small dip which cause my back left wheel to lift off the ground. The suspension...

I had a 1999 Expedition. When you put the 4x4 on it raises the vehicle an extra inch or 2.
It may help to turn the 4x4 off. Two wheel drive is a lower air setting.
Your original pump may still be good. The problem can be in the front. The compressor is not filling the front suspension to the cutoff point. It will lift the rear after the front end is at running height. Since you lost the front end first, the remaining air bled out there and then the rear came down. Once you shut down the car the suspension was done, all the air was let go.
There are adjustment solenoids on the body but you need someone qualified to repair this.

1998 Expo Lop-sided rear suspension

both rear solenoids fill and vent together as one if the vehicle has a leaning concerning it is probably a front concern. It could be an air spring leak or there is an equalizing solenoid or it could be a broken torsion bar

Suspension on 97 expedition it wont raise up in the rear end. fuses are good. can hear the compresser running. there is a hose hanging cant find where it goes. can someone help me please snuzzy

the hose is prob your air susp hose, it goes to the metal line on your rear end right above the drivers side rear wheel, or you can look for the air bag and track down the lines and where they go, sometimes they are in the middle and have a Y fitting

Rear air bag suspension failure 1997 Ford EXP E.B. 4x4

loud hiss sounds like a air line broke or 1 of the bags somehow got a hole in it

crawl under and follow the lines and look for damage maybe turn the key on so that the compressor is running and listen for leaks
