Question about 2002 Nissan Pathfinder

2003 Nissan Pathfinder Bat, AT Oil Temp, Brake Lights All Lit

I have a similar problem on my 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. During highway driving, battery, AT Oil Temp, and brake warning lights all started to flicker followed by significant loss of power. I made it home, shut down, tried to restart but battery was dead. Tried to start 8 hours later and started OK like nothing ever happened. Lights still flickering slightly, battery at 12.6 volts and 14.3 volts with engine running and all accessories on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

GET YOUR BATTERY LOAD TESTED ALONG WITH YOUR ALTERNATOR TESTED FOR OHMS VALUES AT THE REGULATOR. ALSO MEASURE THE VOLTAGE WITH ALL LIGHTS, AC, RADIO ON. SHOULD BE THE SAME AS BATTERY OUTPUT.

1999 nissan pathfinder brakes lights stays lit when ignition switch is turned off

the brake light switch will work without the key in the ignition if you push on the brake pedal, its just the way its designed. if you were to test the switch with a test light one wire is always powered up and the second wire is only powered when the brake pedal is pushes to activate the switch. if you test both wires without pushing the pedal I think you will find you have power on both wires indicating the brake switch has shorted and is working all the time. replace the brake switch.

What kind of differential oil should I use for Nissan Pathfinder 2003 designed for hot climat reagion (Dubai).

The standard recommend oil by Nissan will normally do - temperature range is enough. Rule of thumb is to use thicker oil as it gets hotter. Unless you're driving a lot of bends and many curvy roads all the time - the differential oil should take the heat stress. Engine oil is different in the region.

Brake light, oil temperature light and battery light are on

Wow, 3 problems, did the lights come on one at a time or all at once? How long has each been on? 1st thing is to check fluid levels-brake, & oil. You may damage the vehicle if you continue to drive it. The brake light means a malfunction in the system, or low brake fluid. If the level is low, adding should turn the light off. You then need to check to see where the system is leaking. Oil temp light, or is it just oil light? This will go on when you basically have no oil in the engine, or the oil pump has failed, both very bad. Battery light indicates the vehicle is not charging the battery. Check the drive belt, did it break? This could cause a bunch of lights to go on. Let me know the answers to the above, so I can help to refine my answer.

92 Nissan Pathfinder brake lights stuck on

Change the brake light switch on the brake pedal arm. Go down to the parts store and ask for a new brake liight switch for your Pathfinder and look up under the dash where the brake pedal arm goes and you will see the switch. You will need to unplug the wires to your old one and disconnect it and install the new one the same way. It is pretty much self adjusting once the brake pedal is released. If the brake light does not go out adjust the switch pin to be longer so it will depress when the pedal is released
