How does one add transmission fluid to 1995 jeep grand cherokee laredo?

Look for the dipstick where you check the transmision fluid level. If you need any you pour it down the dipstick hole. Add it in small amounts and check in between additions, its really easy to overfill. Once overfilled a real pain to get it out.

I have 2002 grand Cherokee that makes noise that sounds like tires are rubbing when making turns left or right. Seems worse when jeep has been driven for awhile.

You probably have Quadra Drive. Your problem comes from lack of limited slip additive in the differential fluid. If the fluid was changed a long time ago, you better change it and add the limited slip additive. If it was changed lately, then just add the limited slip additive. Drive some tight figure 8 s after the fluid change, to let the additive work into the vari-lok differentials.
Sometimes the problem is a low fluid level in the T-case, so check that out as well.

Steering turning

If you have quadra drive, then its low on limited slip additive in the front diff. I would just change the fluid and add the limited slip additive to it.

When driving at around 45mph and i realese the gas peddle you get a hissing sound from the differential

Either you need to change the grease in the rear and add a bottle of limited slip differential additive or the pinion bearing may be bad. Both are familiar problems on this model.

What type off fluid in rearend of 2000 jeep

You have a choice of 75 90 or 75 140 gear oil. I'd opt for the 140 because It gives better film strength under loads. and there is no draw back to using it. If you have a positraction differential don't forget to put in posi additive.

check your fluid. you may need to add fluid because when the fluid gets low it doesn't have the pressure needed to engage the transmisson gears and valve bodies.

After warm up the transmission will not always shift up into Drive and overdrive causing the engine to race.

try checking the fluid level if it is even aa half pint off it can cause shift problems, if it is low add some Lucas transmisson oil condtioner this will help it shift smoother. also look at the color of the fluid is it brownish in color? if yes then it's time to change the filter and fluid. if you take it to a shop they chagre about $150.00 but it will keep you from damaging the transmisson. the oil and filter for the transmisson should be changed every 30,000 miles on any car. Thisis oone of the most overlooked items of maintence on cars peopel simply don't know about change the filter and oil till they have to pay for a new transmisson.

2000 Jeep Cherokee suddenly looses traction

Sounds like the transmission is slipping. Check the transmission fluid level and top off as needed. If the problem is not severe, an additive such as Lucas transmission additive may help.
